How's yer summer goin'. Mine's goin' great. I do miss encampment just little tiny bit i have to admit. The things i miss is meeting new people from other squdrons, repelling, riding the C-130, riding the Blackhawk, and hearing the words "HIT THE LINE!" Although it did get pretty tiresome hitting that same line all week. I mean couldn't the duck tape at least have been red or blue!
Just kiddin' :) I also thought it was pretty funny when that one Lt. called my flight "Ladies" because we weren't loud enough during PT. I was from Foxtrot flight (just thought i'd throw that out there)
Anyway I'm more than glad to be home and i hope y'all are too and i hope you have an awesome summer

I can't beleive that tri-wing is over!!! It feels as if I am just getting ready to head on over to Camp Frettard. OH YEAH... Honor Flight will you please stand up!!! We as well as the squadron as a whole dominated. Not to brag, but we did a good job this year... eliminating the SQUADRON 1 CURSE. I was proud to the Bravo Flight or should I say the HONOR FLIGHT Commander. Myself as well as the other Squadron 1 staff worked hard to make fine cadets out of everyone and we feel that we did our job. To all the cadets in my flight, thank you. You guys were a distinct group of cadets and I hope to see many of you next year on staff. Again thanks for being a motivated and talented group.

I would like to extend my gratitude for every cadet basic and staff member that gave this year's encampment 110%. It was because of the fact that not a single cadet let the other down, and that we functioned as a team, that we were able to secure both Honor Flight (Bravo) and Honor Squadron. I look forward to seeing many of you back on staff next year, and hope that each of you has a successful CAP career.

I love the pictures. I just wish that you guys would put up the rest (if there are any) from Friday and also Saturday and Sunday. I'm so glad I at least graduated this encampment and that I didn't quit when I really wanted to. I stuck to it, and because of that, my motivation shot up. As a parent of a cadet who just finished the encampment, I appreciated the photos. Each day, I could not wait to view them.
As a teacher, I cringed every time I did read them. There were way too many typographical errors-mostly spelling. I would expect better of an organization which is supposed to push the cadets to strive for perfection.

Wow those C-130 pics remind me of when we used to do low-levels in Nevada in the middle of summer. There was this one time when we ate this big hot dog lunch before our flight....well....let's say I hope you guys didn't serve up hot dogs before those flights! LOL

Everyone is proud of what you will have accomplished and it is already half over. We hope that you (cadet John Dettinger) are enjoying yourself and come home with many stories about your week in encampment!

Mom and I are thinking about you all the time. We continue to check the Encampment web page just about every hour of the day. This morning I showed Miss Denise and Kim the encampment pictures. They could not believe that your at encampment dressed in BDUs.

We're following the encampment web page hourly. Stay strong and I'll see you Sunday. Remember to eat, drink lots of water, and expect to be yelled at. Remains me of when I was in Civil Air Patrol (a long time ago) and went to Encampment

The photos are up. As for what the cadets are doing today, probably their first day of rotation. Things like o-flights, land nav, rappelling, firing range sims, you name it. You want it, they got it.

Encampment taught me a lot of things. O, Squadron One, run the competition over!

I can't get the pictures to open. What are the Cadets doing tomorrow.
